Grace in the Desert

In time it is Zion that reaches out to the lions.

Zion Canyon ~ Utah

Because, you know, you’re in Utah.  And because of its conservatism, if you can make it there, you can make it almost anywhere.

Zion Canyon is a long way from Orange County in Southern California, actually about 450 miles across California, Nevada, Arizona and into Utah.

But this National Park has some of the most spectacular scenery in the Western United States, with red cliffs all around the narrow Virgin River.

We stayed in Springdale, which was pretty nice.  However, we were only there for a day and a half, which is nowhere near long enough to appreciate the wonders of this National Park.  We had another three days of travel to make it into Wyoming, to witness the total eclipse of the sun, but that post’s for another day.
