Go Woke ~ Go Broke

alert to injustice in society, especially racism

a couple totally alert to any form of criticism

In George Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four he coins the term Newspeak, which was the language Big Brother’s enforcers used ~ a language designed to diminish the range of thought of the populace.

Here and now, right here in the free world, newspeak is the euphemistic, mealy mouthed language routinely used by politicians, government officials, and left-liberal pressure groups.  It’s a bunch of words, phrases, and attitudes that are intentionally difficult to understand, and / or does not mean what it seems to mean.  The whole point is to confuse and deceive ‘ordinary people’.

In Nineteen Eighty-Four a totalitarian state wields total power over its own citizens, ‘for their own good’.  It’s all about surveillance, propaganda, and control ~ it’s all about quashing any thought or opinion that does not agree with that of the righteous.

This is exactly what we have right here and now, right here in England.  And, looking from here, I’d have to say that you have it worse in the USA.

There are some things that we are told we must believe in; man-made global warming, green energy, LGBTQ+ rights, feminism, critical race theory, the coronavirus pandemic, vegetarianism, and the prevalence of extreme right-wing terrorism.  (I may have missed out two or three things that Californians passionately believe we should all believe in.)

For me, the phrase that perfectly encompasses the whole of modern Newspeak is Climate Change Denial ~ which is spat out in much the same way as Holocaust Denial used to be.  Oh, and of course, the use of that word Trump.

Here in England the chief propagandists for the woke newspeak mindset are; the BBC, the Church, Universities, Big Charities, the Labour and Liberal political parties, sections of the press, and sadly our very own Prime Minister Boris Johnson.  All of which are quite unpopular with people like me, the ‘silent majority’ who actually have all the money these people need if they want to keep on pushing their woke agendas.

But you know what?  We vote with our feet and our wallets, and all of those with a woke left-liberal agenda are hemorrhaging support and going broke.

And just in case you think I am speaking from a position of white privilege, read my post some signs of being poor from earlier today.

Covid Testing Shambles

order, counter order, disorder, fucking shambles

The number of people testing positive for the coronavirus in England has reached  about 11,000 a day, which is less than 1% of all those tested in a day.

The most common covid test is the ‘lateral flow’ which gives a false positive in 60% of cases.

The allegedly more accurate PCR test gives a false positive a third of the time.

The estimate of possible deaths by covid used by the UK government to justify lockdown is known to be hopelessly inaccurate, inflating the numbers by 90%.

Vaccination against the virus has been found to be 96% effective, but the government is willfully ignoring these numbers when deciding on testing, lockdown, travel, and quarantine regulations.

Coronavirus Testing in schools will be axed due to the mass disruption it’s causing.

It could be August before English tourists are free to return to the UK without testing and quarantine.  But back among ‘them, the elite’ all those attending the G7 summit in Cornwall suffered no inconveniences at all, and thousands of soccer officials with their hangers-on will be allowed into England without quarantine to attend a couple of football matches.

The former head of the pointless, inefficient, useless, wasteful, vastly expensive, (£37 billion), covid Test and Trace programme, Baroness Dido Harding, wants to be the next boss of the National Health Service.  She is a ‘friend’ of our pointless, inefficient, useless, wasteful, vastly expensive Prime Minister Boris Johnson, so she could get the job.

Meanwhile, the current head of our £201 billion a year Nation Health Service, Simon Stevens,  has revealed himself to be a smug, smarmy, self-satisfied git in a televised interview by Sky News political editor Beth Rigby.  It seems that this wassock  thinks he’s a government minister and not just some over-paid bureaucrat.  Stevens makes a good foil for that other wassock Health Minister Matt Hancock.

You Couldn’t Make It Up.

A Graduate Workforce

travel, get rich, get famous, innovate, lead

Here in England a most senior police officer has slammed the policy of only recruiting graduates into the police force, saying that; ‘they lack life experience’, and ‘they won’t commit to working unsocial hours’.  He goes on to paint a picture of a graduate recruit as someone who believes they are invincible, know better than officers who have been on the force for years, and believes that policing is just an extension of university life.

I had to smile when I read this, as it agrees exactly with my experience of dealing with young graduate entrants into the far less stressful and much less dangerous business of banking.  For a young person, banking involves a hell of a lot of routine drudgery, doing things the way they’ve always been done, and not going home until all the books are balanced at the end of the day.  There’s also the whole drag of getting into the bank before 09:00, going to lunch when you are told you can, and not staying out at lunch for longer than an hour.

Some graduates of my experience also had problems with the dress code, which was a business suit for men, and smart sober attire for women.  FFS, some male graduates didn’t even know how to tie a necktie, and had to have it done for them by a kindly person when they got into the office.

In my experience, new graduates tend to be idealists.

The world is more malleable than you think, and it’s waiting for you to hammer it into shape.  ~  BONO

Actually, no it isn’t.  The snag is; when you are working for someone else, you have to be prepared to put the ideals of the business ahead of your own.  The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.

Many graduates also believe that they’re done with formal education when they leave university ~ and that’s another no.  There is the tiresome business of obtaining a qualification from the people who run the profession a graduate has chosen.  And I kid you not, the studies and exams set by people such as The Law Society are a bit more difficult than the average degree.  It would take most graduates 4 to 6 years to qualify as a ‘lawyer’, and cost at least £4,500.  (Other professional qualifications are similar.)  However really bright graduates may find that the firm / business helps out with costs and gives them a little time off work to study.

Being a graduate is not a passport to riches and fame, rather it’s just another step on the hard road of life.

Sex Differences In The Brain

MEN ARE NOT THE SAME AS WOMEN

Subconscious-MindPsychologists, psychiatrists, and people in white coats from many branches of science are usually prepared to admit that there is a difference between the brain of the average manly man, from that of the average womanly woman.  However, these same smart people will also often admit that they have no real idea about what causes one person to develop behaviour patterns largely associated with one sex and not the other.  Scientists can even measure the differences between the brains of men and women, and there are a lot, but knowing how big the differences are doesn’t say much about how they come about.

As one glaringly obvious example, females handle language in a different and more specialised part of their brain than do males.  In general women are far more naturally articulate than men, and use a greater number of ways to communicate.  But why?  It could be that it’s genetic and down to the obvious biological differences between men and women which makes our brains work differently.  It could be that men and women have totally different race memories.  Or, it could be that it’s mostly down to different nurturing, conditioning, education and experience.  With no apologies to Feminists or the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender, (LGBT), it turns out that it’s all three.  Some differences between the sexes are hard-wired and immutable.  Some differences between the manner in which the sexes behave are down to basic biology.

hugsThe genetic bias is intense enough to cause a substantial division of labour between women and men, even in the most egalitarian of societies.  Even if the sexes receive identical education and equal access to all professions, men are likely to have a disproportionate role in politics, business, engineering and science.  Women have a disproportionately greater role in child-minding, and in nurturing professions such as medicine.  Sociobiologists believe women are genetically programmed for maternal feelings, for superior verbal abilities, and for performing repetitive tasks not requiring deep thought.  In contrast, men are genetically suited to more logical and analytical thinking and have superior spacial awareness.

Men and women are so different that we may as well be different species.

Men need to solve problems, and women need to talk.

ladyboyThere are large behavioural overlaps between the sexes.  It is possible for a person with a woman’s biology to think they are really a guy, (gender identity), yet still behave in a feminine way.  Some women have more masculine traits than other women.  Some women can even throw a ball, or use a wrench correctly, or tell left from right.  Some men have more feminine traits than other men.  Some men can do multitasking, hold a conversation, or even choose clothes in matching colours.  Nonetheless, the standard, comical, caricatures of men and woman are mostly correct in that men are inarticulate insensitive brutes, and women are chatty emotional and nurturing creatures.

SlappingWhat this means that men and women react very differently to situations.  Women tend to feel things more deeply, and with a far greater range of emotions than do men.  Women keep score, and never forget.  Within seconds, most men will have forgotten something insensitive they said to their significant other, thinking it didn’t matter anyhow, and that they were right all along.  In contrast, women will feel that hurt to the core of their being, try and assign a wider meaning to the insensitive comment, think about their relationship with their guy, look for hidden meanings, add the hurt to the list of other ‘bad’ things their guy has done, and usually forgive him.  Eventually.

slobWomen are always forgiving men for something we have done.  Often guys do very dumb stuff, but often guys have no idea why what they did was so bad.  That’s because men and women look at the world differently, and women tend to care far more than men.  Most men could care less about other people, especially about people who mean little to them in practical terms ~ which is basically 99.9% of the entire world.  Most women are genetically programmed to care about people, and when their guy is disparaging toward someone they care about, then women tend tend to become very upset.  The problem for most guys is that most women care about most people, in one way or another.

In general, it takes a real effort for a man to think about, care about, understand, or even acknowledge the existence of anyone outside of his immediate family and small circle of friends.  In general, women want to know everything about everyone they meet.  In general woman have a much wider circle of friends than most men, care about them, remember names and faces.  Women even remember and care about birthdays, anniversaries, special dates…

schoolgirlmodelMostly, what a manly man wants to know about people are things like; is this person a threat, useful, someone he wants to / can have sex with…?

These gender differences can cause real problems in relationships between men and women.  Often men are very unthinking and unfeeling creatures, and there isn’t much a guy can do to change his underlying genetic programming / race memories / conditioning.  So men tend to upset women.

Because all men have some feminine traits, the things that guys do which so upset women will sometimes also upset men.

And, so what?  As behavioural scientists know, most men could care less about the feelings of others.  Most of the time, most men have such a shallow and narrow range of emotions, that they themselves don’t feel much more than the most basic things.  Some say that all human behaviour can be reduced to four, (possibly six) basic emotions.  these are; happiness, sadness, fear / surprise, anger / disgust.  Well, that ‘research’ had to have been undertaken by a bunch of guys because even I know that the emotions of womanly women are much more complicated and complex than that.  Men see things in straight lines and in terms of black and white.  Women see the whole of the world in all of it’s colours and complexities.

The_Thinker_Auguste_RodinBecause men are naturally insensitive, we need to apply more conscious thought to what we say and do.

The bottom line is;  Men should think twice before they say or do anything.  If a guy can’t think of anything nice to say, he shouldn’t say anything at all.  If you really want to hurt a woman, then just be an average guy for a while.
