Golden Skies

A golden sky above a lonely road in the far west.

break away

to a lonely road

under a golden sky

she destroyed my soul

three things cannot long be hidden; the sun, the moon, and the truth  ~  Buddha

~

under this bohdi tree

things are bad being me

as dire as could possibly be

look around and what do I see

that at least I knew and loved thee

I see the moon

smiling down on me

love’s lost lament

when the lovers’ moon has set, no lantern can replace it

~

no affection, love is gone,

my life is hard and unholy

like all good men and true

I’ve had to pledge my soul

for if not for love and honour

then what else is right and whole?

her harbour light kept me safe

Monochrome Monday ~ Desire

human behaviour flows from just three main sources; desire, emotion, and knowledge ~ Plato

~

there is nothing real but dreams and love

and love is like the wind

I may never know from whence it comes

teach me how to find

the true love and desire in you

the mystery of a masque

the cruel sea

a goddess rose from the sea, to tear male hearts asunder

~

cruel love’s eyes

a bleak winter mirror

seen through a glass, darkly

~

there is naught so cruel as the sea

cast as a mirror of man’s soul

to have loved and lost

Only when it’s almost gone will you know what a gift love is.

~

the world carries on without me

but nothing remains the same

yet I’ll go on without you

until the end of days

dance until the end of love

Damn the Past

The past is never what you believed it was.

~

memories like past passing clouds

drift silently screaming monochrome

colourless in grey and white shadows

destructive shades of love and home

ignored lies, shards of present charades

living in the past bitterness forever alone

~

the less you give a fuck about the shadows, the happier you will be

Moonlight Cherishes

The moon looks down upon us all with her kindly lovelight

Artemis, Cerridwen, Diana, Isis, Luna, Seline,

the brightest full moon should be enough

She keeps me safe in her celestial love

soft and white as some heavenly dove

yet unimaginably distant so far above

ordinary man with pain undreamed of

be comforted because you are loved

the brightest moonrise

Goddess’ Betrayal

in the curves of her form a hero found his wanton goddess

Aphrodite symbolises

a lover’s eternal choices

of feminine enchantments

exploiting sexual differences

intellectual harmony balances

emotions desired disharmonies

wants needs desires dreams lusts

pleasures’ ecstasies turned into dust

Haunted Abandonment

enchanted lust is as a candle under a dark moon

night soon

hard as stone

dry as a bone

far as the moon

she left me alone

the enchantress crone

dangerous women attract me

and yet

I suffer an abnormal fear of abandonment
