In Pain ~ In Hospital

hospital life sucks

In a hospital bed, in an 8 person ward, and I can’t even get out bed to go to the bathroom.

I’m having my blood taken every 4 hours, and my blood pressure tested  ~ bp is 108 / 83, and my heart rate is 115, at 05:00 this morning.

Let me tell you a catheter is not fun.

Not as bad as the pain in my right kidney.  Latest guess is it’s an infection, so I’m now on antibiotics  But I know that stress and depression on its own can make you physically Ill.

Today I had my first bed bath, which was a little embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as having a catheter inserted into my penis by a lady doctor and a nurse.

Thank you all for your kind wishes.  Lucky they have Wi-Fi in this hospital.

  2. I have wondered where you have been. Knowing you said you went for test. The medication should help with infections and you will be up and running soon. Get well soon Jack.

    1. The Wi-Fi is a godsend.
Having the catheter taken out, was almost as bad as having it inserted 😕

  5. So your blood pressure does not seem so bad, This is good. On Seinfeld there is a beautiful nurse giving someone a bed bath. So at least do you have a beautiful nurse. I know this might seem hard to do, but try writing more and not thinking about the pain. I had a hysterectomy a couple of years ago, when I moved anything I felt like I was going to die from pain. The medication they gave me was AMAZING. I slept a lot. Then I realized I had to not think about the pain. Therefore I wrote a lot. Keep writing Jack. You will feel better soon, just watch and see

      1. It’s always difficult to get any rest or sleep in the hospital so here is a healing meditation:

Imagine a full moon shining down upon you.
Feel the healing light flow into your body. Feel the light radiating inside, especially in any areas that are painful.
Imagine that there is so much healing light inside that it radiates outside your body, forming a protective shield of light all around you.
As you are enveloped by the light, the pain drifts away.

        I hope this helps! 🙂
