Scenes on Sunday ~ Georgia O’Keeffe

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.  ~  Thomas Merton

I once spent a very long day visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  It was damn cold and snowing.  Visiting an art collection was not something I would ever have thought I would want to do ~ but then I never thought I’d ever be in New Mexico.

However, the paintings were interesting ~ mostly they looked like weirdly abstract renditions of female nether regions.  I’m not the first person to have thought that.

Generally speaking,

I like inner vaginas, they have less to say.

  2. As an English Gentleman I obviously prefer the rose, and Georgia O’Keeffe has some cool rose paintings. 💖

  3. Flowers, buds before and in bloom. Orchids quite likely because they look beautiful and also weird

    1. Flowers are, of themselves, sexual organs. ❤

      1. Indeed they are. Open wide, it’s the male part in the middle. Stamen – not stawomen lol. But the lady bits are in the bulbous part underneath.

          1. Hahaha. I guess that speaks to the different types of flowers then… and gives added meaning to the types and shapes of different flowers… do you have a favourite flower?
