Motel California

better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all

Gazing at the moon

sitting in this lonely room

Wondering just who

I am and what I’ve become

It isn’t so very long ago

I wanted to get to know

And perhaps marry

A Californian woman

It’s not better to have loved

And if there’s a God above

Then take this pain away

And never let me love again.

  1. I take bets you and your friend will make up. Everybody has a lovers tiff now and again fun is making up . πŸ˜‰
Never know what’s around th corner . I plan stay single . Been friends is enough for me. Options always there. Friendship more important to me . Relationship not for me. Still do everything together without been in relationship. Plotonic is just as good.

  2. Love is always there, it changes and people grow and change like streams of water in spring. May your heart be purified by a sparkling freshet to bring you peace and love again. πŸ’•πŸ’•

  3. My MR EX said the same words to me. I wonder if men say this and truly mean it? I pondered over the words of MR EX, did he ever love me at all? Now I wonder….

    1. These words are false.
But then, most poetry is about the falsehoods of the moment.
I still love my friend, and I hope that she still cares for me.

      1. Thanks for sharing from a male perspective. I greatly appreciate it. Nice of you to still love your friend.
