There was not the spirituality and feeling of other-worldliness I had expected and hoped for.  But, if you look closely, you can see sunspots.

  1. I didn’t get a feeling of spirituality and other-worldliness when I turned off the bedroom light last night but our bedroom light bulb didn’t have sunspots so you shouldn’t be too disappointed! Seriously, it must have been an interesting experience and the photos are great, Jack.

  3. You aren’t showing total eclipse in your pictures Jack. Were you just out of the totality zone? That might have been why you didn’t get the spinal shivers! I have pictures like yours from the near total eclipse we had twenty years or so ago, that had totality I believe in Cornwall. In Kent there was a sliver of sun left as you are showing. It is the view of the Corona in totality which is the most amazing part of an eclipse.
