the road out of hell

then I was just a pathetic nobody

it felt like no one could hear me cry

and now my race to hell has been run

I’m out of the darkness and into the sun

feeling the warm breeze hearing the ocean

I’ll never forget the real love of the true one

but life isn’t the same since she has been gone

her leaving wasn’t easy, she had to say goodbye

seems I’m barely hanging on and it’s all so wrong

  2. Awww…so beautiful! Being in the sun is wonderful…even if you’re alone. Better than being in hell with someone, right? Maybe the new you will attract the woman of your dreams?

    1. I thought I’d better put in the disclaimer ~ I’m feeling damn good, but sometimes my poetry comes out terribly sad.
Maybe I should have left it sad, and gone for sympathy love. ❤

      1. Well … at least you can write poetry. I have tried my hand a few times, and all I can come up with is bawdry limericks! 😀 But yes, I was thankful for the disclaimer and no, you should not have left it sad, for then I would have been sad thinking about you being sad! My love, however, you have … as always! Hugs, sweet man! ❤
